Exploring the City of Lights

By Tricia Adams

After a nice hike in the rain with our luggage to the bus stop, a bumpy ride on the bus to the train station and a short nap on the train – we’ve made it to Paris. Ahh, the city of lights. The city of romance. The city of rain? Apparently it has been raining in Paris for quite some time and it doesn’t seem like it is going to let up any time soon as there is rain in the forecast almost every day we are going to be here. Oh well, a walk in the rain in Paris is still a walk in Paris.

After a visit to an amazing cultural museum called Qui Branley, most of the group decided to take a bike tour of the city. My roommate and I decided to skip the bikes, explore on foot and maybe take in another museum or two.

A Science Center Unlike Any Other

By Tricia Adams

I’ve been to a lot of science museums over the years but none quite like this one. Today our group took a trip outside of London to the town of Bristol, England. There we visited the science museum called @Bristol. At this museum children are running around and playing with the exhibits and experiencing science firsthand. London and Paris, here I come! I’ve got my passport, plane ticket and tourist guide books. I’m ready for an adventure. I’ve also packed my notebook, computer and camera. I’m also ready for an education. After studying and working in museums for years, I am eager to see how they do things in other countries.

Only one problem: they won’t let me on the plane!

Sustainability in Paris Museums

By Austin Ogden

Alas! We are in Paris! The first night we were in Paris we wandered our way to the Eiffel Tower for two hours in the rain. About halfway to the Eiffel Tower we stopped, took a break, took a group picture and were back on our way. Eventually we walked up to the masterpiece and just sat there in awe. Although we were soaking wet, every step was worth it in the end.

Sustainability Within Society in London

By Austin Ogden

Our stay in London was amazing! Waking up and getting to go to a prestigious museum every day to learn about sustainability within society is something I will always remember. As a team, my group and I went to Tate Modern, At-Bristol, the National Portrait Gallery, the London Science museum, and The Natural History Museum.
