Biography

Fatima Hafsa is a sustainability scientist with a background in material engineering. She studies plastic manufacturing and waste supply chains using an interdisciplinary perspective. Her work includes identifying points of innovation and transformation throughout the plastic lifecycle; analyzing price signals from plastic recycling markets; and recommending appropriate policy and public administration solutions such as sustainable purchasing. Hafsa is currently working as a postdoctoral scholar at ASU’s W. P. Carey School of Business.
