Sherstin Sutherland joined the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives team in Fall 2014 as the Global Sustainability Studies Program Manager. Prior to ASU Sherstin worked for seven years at Brigham Young University serving first as the International Program Coordinator in the Marriott School of Management and then as the Study Abroad Coordinator for the Kennedy Center. During her time at BYU Sherstin taught several courses on culture and global communications. She also developed training modules and trained study abroad faculty directors. Sherstin received her B.S. in Public Relations and her Masters in Professional Communication from Southern Utah University. She has traveled to 25 different countries spending extended periods of time in Ireland, Italy, England, Mexico, China, and Hong Kong. Sherstin is fiercely passionate about international education and strongly believes every student should spend time overseas studying their academic discipline. She has also been actively involved in NAFSA and the Forum on Education Abroad for the past six years.
