Biography

Dr. Szkupinski Quiroga is a child of immigrants, born and raised in the Los Angeles area. The first in her immediate family to attend university, she left California to do graduate work at Johns Hopkins University and a brief stint in the US Public Health Service. In 2002, she received her doctorate in Medical Anthropology from the joint program of the University of California at San Francisco's Department of Anthropology, History, and Social Medicine and Berkeley's Department of Anthropology.
