Biography

Investigating "socio-energy ecosystems" and dynamics of sustainable transformations for marginalized communities, using decentralized energy technology and cooperative structures. Employing a wide range of participatory research methods and intervention experiments, my work explores pathways to enhanced development outcomes for households at the rural community of Rio Claro in Brazil. Systems maps and Agent Based models of change processes supplement the empirical work, developing insights into mechanisms and conditions for sustainable solutions.
