Biography

Natalie is a Tempe native and graduated from Arizona State University in 2009 studying everything from art, metalworking, interior design, business, and then finally focusing on applied biology and creative writing. After graduating, she moved to Flagstaff, AZ to pursue her master's degree in Sustainable Communities at Northern Arizona University (NAU). For her thesis, she measured the levels of nature connectivity among OHV users in the Algodones Dunes in California in hopes of influencing pro-environmental behavior. She was the program assistant for the Coconino County Sustainable Building Program as well as a web content writer for NAU Marketing.

Natalie was awarded Best Volunteer 2012 for the Northern AZ Branch of the U.S. Green Building Council. Natalie enjoys writing about nature, exploring, and promoting sustainability.
