Biography

Since joining Arizona State University in 2006, Michele has been involved in the planning and development of several university initiatives including the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability and the Climate Change Adaptation Initiative. She currently works with the Center for Integrated Solutions to Climate Challenges at ASU, an initiative of the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives within the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability. In this capacity, she is involved in strategic planning and reporting, project coordination and development, community engagement activities, and communications and web development.

Other responsibilities include data mining and research, both internally and externally; identifying university stakeholders and organizing meetings; event and workshop planning; drafting and editing whitepapers and/or responses to requests for information from federal funding sources and other entities; proposal preparation, both internally and externally; and submitting proposals in collaboration with the Institute's proposal team and ASU’s Office of Research and Sponsored Projects Administration. Previous activities include planning and hosting webinars and being a member of the Drafting Committee for ASU’s Consortium for Science, Policy and Outcomes’ 2008-2012 Strategic Plan
