Capstone: Opening Doors: Three Elements Necessary for Faster Adoption of Residential Solar

Residential solar is experiencing tremendous growth. However intense competition, used-car sales tactics and race-to-the-bottom pricing threatens the long-term viability of the industry and hurts consumer confidence. Therefore, solar companies must distinguish themselves in how they meet and engage their customers and look for partnerships which provide three key elements for solar adoption:

  1. Make it social
  2. Provide a “trial period”
  3. Validation

Michael's capstone aims to earn those elements by positioning Residential Solar as a tool which Sustainability Directors can use to engage and motivate their co-workers around the greater sustainability objectives.
