My work and research is focused on forest management, especially community forestry and agroforestry. While living in Nepal, I examined forest resource access in an indigenous forest management program in the Annapurna region. I have worked extensively in Haiti using agroforestry methods to improve soil quality and crop yields, and more recently began a program of building stoves out of renewable materials. I am also very interested in continuing work in the future in the field of population parameter estimation.
