Lisa Herrmann has worked in the field of science education as a classroom teacher, informal science educator, developer of science programming and curriculum, and as a science education advocate. Through her work with the National Program for Excellence in Environmental Education she led development of the Arizona Environmental Literacy Framework and the state Environmental Educator Certification Program, and was part of the writing team for the Guidelines for Early Childhood Environmental Education. She recently served as the designated representative for informal educators on the State Leadership Team for the adoption of the Next Generation Science Standards through the Arizona State Department of Education.
