Biography

Liou majored in Urban Sustainability. Her doctoral dissertation work focused on the sustainability implications of the interactive evolvement of urban public transit and the built environment. She has been involved in urban development strategy projects funded by the World Bank and the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy.

Liou has been working as a teaching assistant for SOS 323 Sustainable Urban Dynamics. She also worked for PUP 465 New Urbanism/Smart Growth, and SOS 110 Sustainable World. She worked for Chinese Academy of Sciences, and she is a student member of both the American Association of Geographers and the American Planning Association.
