Biography

Katje graduated from State University of New York-Oneonta in 2016 with a BS in Biology and a concentration in Ecology and Field Biology. During my undergraduate studies, I completed research focusing on herbivores and nutrition patterns. After taking a year off to work in a biological research lab, I began the MPP program at ASU. In the future, I plan to be a part of the impactful decision-making process that drives solid environmental policy. I am currently working on a National Science Foundation-funded project that evaluates how scientists and policy makers work together to influence policies focusing on conservation. This project is a partnership between the School of Public Affairs, the School of Life Sciences and the Center for Biodiversity Outcomes.
