Biography

Jose-Benito Rosales Chavez is an assistant professor at the School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning. He is a behavioral scientist with a background in anthropology, nutrition, and global health. Dr. Rosales Chavez topics of interests include the food environment, access to food, dietary intake, health outcomes, and social determinants of health. Dr. Rosales Chavez studies how culturally relevant food venues can increase access to affordable, nutritious, relevant, and locally produced foods.
