Biography

Jeffrey Drucker works to understand why atoms choose their positions during crystal growth on surfaces. To do so, he uses a variety of atomic or near-atomic resolution techniques including atomic force, scanning tunneling, and various types of electron microscopy. This atomistic view of how crystals grow allows the design of materials with capabilities enabling the next generation of electronic and information processing technologies.
