Biography

My name is Hanna Layton, I am now on the final year of my undergraduate sustainability program and looking forward to pursuing a masters in sustainability through the MSUS 4+1 program! I have a very personal connection with the natural Earth and the life on it and I feel very moved to ignite change on the social level. I hope to pursue a more comprehensive mastery of the social drivers of consumption, and how I might be able to manipulate people's wasteful tendencies towards more mindful utilization of resources. Since my mindfulness practice has deepened my connection and understand of sustainability, I find that combining the two is the most effective way for me to go about inspiring social and sustainable transformation. My vision is one of well-being, and my passion for travel leads me to, ideally pursue wellbeing via international development by emphasizing mindful communication. I
enter the next two years welcoming collaboration and with an open mind. I am excited to see where this journey leads.
