Biography

Denise Kronsteiner is a faculty associate and Walton Scholar with the Walton Sustainability Solutions Initiatives. She is a senior-level communications professional with more than 17 years of business management experience in various industries including government, social services, law, publishing, the arts (literary, fine, performing and commercial), non-profit youth development, and higher education. Her prior positions at ASU include serving as the director of strategic communications with the School for the Future of Innovation in Society and as a research writer for the College of Health Solutions and the College of Nursing and Health Innovations at ASU.

Her background also includes a successful small business startup and operations (hers), strategic planning, project management, team development, collaboration, community relations and change management. She has a very strong commitment to global humanitarian concerns, environmental issues, animals, sustainability, and health – with a special emphasis on humane, compassionate, and inclusive treatment for all. She also has a special interest in shared value: business success, sustainability and a respected natural world. She has an interest in systems thinking and creative change, and views the world through the lens of Appreciative Inquiry.
