As Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability – the nation’s first and most comprehensive sustainability program at the nation’s most innovative university (U.S. News) – Connie creates and advances partnerships that increase the pace and scale of sustainability solutions around the world. She is a certified fundraising executive with 23 years of experience in non-profit philanthropy and 11 years in corporate marketing. Her most recent roles were Director of Philanthropy and Marketing for The Nature Conservancy in Arizona and Vice Chancellor of Advancement for the University of Missouri –Rolla.
She has managed six successful fundraising campaigns (two that were enterprise-wide), crafted three institutional campaign case statements, orchestrated a campus rebranding, and managed multi-million dollar product lines – from a suite of cash management banking services to the world’s leading EDI telecommunications service. Under her leadership, Missouri S&T was twice named one of the nation's most improved fundraising programs and six times named the Midwest's best overall institutional advancement program in their enrollment category. She has taught at the graduate university level, within the development industry, and within her organizations, strengthening the philanthropic capacity of six presidents/CEOs, dozens of board and academic leaders, and hundreds of fundraisers.
She holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis, a BS in journalism from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and a certificate from the Harvard Management Development Program in the Graduate School of Education.
