Capstone: Thank You for Helping the Earth, Room 204

A Kid by Nature spearheaded a pilot program in two elementary schools to teach children about environmental and social impact. Through collaboration the children collected and created art pieces primarily made from old, unwanted plastic toys. Through a hands-on effort the children learned that together, each person makes a difference - especially if we remember that there is “no away”. Through environmental lessons in the classroom each child became more concerned about the impact of trash and unintended consequences of plastic on nature.
