Claire Smith, a second year graduate student in the School of Human Evolution and Social Changes M.A./Ph.D. program studying cultural anthropology, is investigating the vulnerability and coping capacity of rapidly growing periurban regions as they relate to the water related issues of drought, flood and scarcity.
