Biography
Crona s research has focused on links and feedbacks between the social and ecological components in social-ecological systems, with particular interest in stakeholder ecological knowledge, communication networks for transfer of such knowledge and the effect of social network structure on adaptive management of natural resources. Her work at CSID will aim to apply aspects of social network analysis to issues of development and planning in an urban context. Other areas of interest include knowledge generation and cognitive processes, structural effects of social networks on social capital for resource management and coast zone management. She affiliated with the Department of Systems Ecology and the Stockholm Resilience Center, Stockholm University.
