Biography

Amanda Coats grew up in the Peninsula Northwest and was a transfer student to ASU from a community college in southern Idaho. She is currently a senior at ASU working on her BA in the School of Sustainability. Her track is society and sustainability, and she is also earning a certificate in social transformation. Amanda is interested in societal aspects of sustainability and hopes to help evolve current norms to more sustainable norms through education. Amanda also has a strong interest in food and sustainable food systems. She is involved with a gardening club at ASU called “ASU grow” and enjoys cooking and baking.
