Biography

Susan Norton is a program manager for Arizona State University's University Sustainability Practices. Her key roles include developing and promoting ASU’s sustainability initiatives through new programs and projects to include a campus community garden for students, staff, and faculty. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture with a minor in Business from Texas A & M University and a Masters of Sustainability Leadership degree from ASU. Her previous experience includes environmental education with the Desert Botanical Garden as the TEEN Coordinator, Education Instructor with the City of Chandler at the Environmental Education Center, and Design Lead / Project Manager of five schoolyard habitat gardens funded with Heritage Grants from the Arizona Game & Fish Department. Other roles include program manager at Sherman Library and Gardens in California and conservation efforts with The Center for Plant Conservation and National Tropical Botanical Gardens in Kauai, Hawaii.
