Biography

Julia (Chrissie) Bausch is a postdoctoral scholar with the Kyl Center for Water Policy at the Morrison Institute for Public Policy, Arizona State University. She earned her PhD in Sustainability from ASU in May 2017.  In her research, she examines how local/regional governance and policy for agriculture are evolving to address sustainability and adaptation concerns for both agriculture and the social-ecological systems in which it is embedded. She is especially interested in the urban-rural interface. She explores how priorities, tradeoffs and synergies across different functions of agriculture are managed for the benefit of different actor groups and systems. She has also researched urban water governance and adaptation to climate change.  Her work has examined case studies in Mexico and Arizona.
