Dr. DesRoches has a PhD in Philosophy from the University of British Columbia and his area of specialization is the history and philosophy of economics. His research is divided into three main categories: nature in economic theory, wealth and human well-being, and philosophy of sustainability science. Tyler was a Founding Editor of the Erasmus Journal for Philosophy and Economics (2008-2015) and his articles have appeared in journals such as History of Political Economy, Journal of the History of Economic Thought and the Canadian Journal of Forest Research. He teaches the history and philosophy of economics (from Aristotle until present), Equity, Justice and Sustainability, and Human Well-Being in the Context of Sustainability.
