Ashok K. Mishra is Kemper and Ethel Marley Foundation Chair in Food Management at the Morrison School of Agribusiness, W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University. Prior to joining ASU, he held positions at Louisiana State University (2007-2015), Economic Research Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, in Washington DC (1997-2007) where he conducted research in farm policy, finance, household and labor economics, and survey analysis on U.S. farm sector and rural communities. He received a PhD in Economics at North Carolina State University (1996), an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics at the University of Aberdeen, United Kingdom (1989). Prof. Mishra conducts research and teaching activities in public policy, finance, agribusiness, food security, climate change, land use pattern and change. In that vein he is currently working on projects to assess the impact of agricultural and environmental policies on food security, labor allocation and land use decisions
