CAP scientist, Janet Franklin has been elected to the National Academy of Sciences. Janet has a large research program focused on human-induced landscape change. Within CAP, Janet has been working with her Ph.D. student, Julie Ripplinger, to understand what mechanisms explain species loss or dominance in the urban environment.
