Biography

Ruth joined the lab as a high school student volunteer and graduated in 2020 with a major in microbiology at Arizona State University. Over her time in the lab, she was involved in many research projects and an international field season in Senegal. Her primary interest focused on developing sustainable methods to combat global health issues. Her research included exploring organism behavior in relation to water / nutrition trade-offs and the metabolic processes experienced during insect flight.
