Fashionably Impoverished:
A Conscious Conversation

Tracey Martin

  • Designer, Sustainability Life Strategist & Wellness Coach
  • Founder, Threads of Evolution
  • Speaker and Eco-Entrepreneur

Tracey Martin is a renowned public speaker on sustainability in the fashion industry. She has founded three successful ecologically responsible clothing and accessory brands. Her latest project involves changing the way we dye textiles. Frustrated with the lack of transparency in the current "organic/low impact" dye process, she decided to partner with the leaders in the organic dye world to create De La Terre Colours. These dyes are environmentally sustainable, 100% organic plant-based, and can be mass-produced for large-scale dye houses.

A conscious conversation will disrupt your current thought process on how you buy your clothing and who makes it. Tracey will discuss the social, ethical, and moral impacts our clothing decisions have on the world.

You can follow her blog at Sustainable in Stilettos.

Refreshments will be served.

There is metered parking around the building or the City of Tempe Parking Garage behind the building offers FREE parking for the first hour and $2/hour after.

This event is sponsored by the Arizona Apparel Foundation.
