Creating a Sustainable Metabolism for Your Business: Net Zero, Supply Chain, and Life Cycle Analysis

Dan O'Neill

  • General Manager, Sustainability Solutions Extension Service, Global Institute of Sustainability

Rajesh Buch

  • Practice Lead, Sustainability Solutions Extension Service, Global Institute of Sustainability

Please join us for our first in a series of workshops focused on the sustainability challenges of the small and medium enterprise, presented by Dan O’Neill and Rajesh Buch of the Walton Sustainability Solutions Extension Service, a program of the Global Institute of Sustainability at ASU.

This initial workshop will focus on the basics of realizing a “sustainable metabolism” for your business in order to create value by achieving high levels of resource efficiency. The workshop will include short lectures and discussions on the elements of a sustainable metabolism, such as net zero energy, water and waste, life cycle analysis, and green supply chain management. Each discussion will be followed by in-class exercises to help you focus on what you can do in your unique business situation. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to discuss exercises with the workshop facilitators and each other, as an opportunity to advance their thinking about sustainability and value creation in their business.
