Incredibly Short Environmental Film Festival

Join us for a free screening of four short films created by students from the School of Sustainability, under the direction of Sustainability Scientist Peter Byck (director of Carbon Nation).

The Weaver - Abby Johnson, Joe Hardy and Anthony Prosceno
It is easy to let our differences divide us, but when we find a common cause to fight for, that can make all the difference. Arizona Interfaith Power & Light has found this common cause in climate action and care for creation.

Tres Rios - Johnathan Rugg, Suzanne Jumper, Yeowon Kim
Tres Rios is a constructed wetland built in a desert city, Phoenix, to further clean, recycle, and reuse Phoenix’s wastewater. This sustainable solution has not only secured water for use in agriculture, but has also provided beneficial impacts to the surrounding area and has turned the ecosystem into a recreational site for bird watchers.

Save Oak Flat- Brynn Szukala
Forty-five minutes east of phoenix lies the town of Superior and its accompanying campground Oak Flat. This area which is filled with tradition, heritage, natural beauty, and recreational havens is threatened by one of the largest copper mines ever to be seen by the town

At What Cost- Aislyn Richmond, Ryan Hayes
Roosevelt Row, Phoenix's burgeoning arts district, has recently made headlines as one of the American Planning Association's "Great Places in America", attracting large developments downtown. But as an area strengthened by its local community, what costs do residents, business owners, and developers face when a lack of communication divides neighborhood development
