School of Sustainability Community Garden Maintenance & Harvest

Interested in gardening? Want a way to contribute to your community? Interested in meeting fun, sustainability-oriented people? Then join us for the School of Sustainability Monthly Community Garden Harvest Day!

Feel free to drop by during any part of the timeframe. You do not need to be there the entire time.

A portion of the garden’s harvested produce goes to the volunteers and another portion is given to the Tempe Community Action Agency Food Pantry.

Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and wear comfortable/temperature-appropriate clothing and shoes.

Light breakfast will be provided. All volunteers will also be given a reusable net bag for produce, made by women in El Salvador.

Please note: Escalante Community Garden is actually accessible off of S River Drive. When plugged into a GPS, 2150 E. Orange Street takes you to the front of the Escalante Community Center. The garden is located on the backside of the community center.
