Some corporations, Dell among them, are taking a leading role in advancing sustainability in absence of clear policies and regulations. Many of the new sustainability jobs in the coming years will be created in the private sector. Sarda will lead a discussion about corporate sustainability opportunities and challenges and share his thoughts on how to navigate the corporate career path in the field.
Sarda is responsible for the operational strategy of Dell's Global Sustainability efforts. This includes governance, information strategy, measurement and reporting, as well as supporting advocacy, policy and objective setting across internal and external stakeholder engagement. Prior to making a shift to sustainability in 2010, Sarda held a number of E-Business leadership positions over 15+ years at Dell and Charles Schwab. He is a graduate of Arizona State University and stays closely connected to the School of Sustainability.
