Achieving the World's Sustainable Development Goals

Julia Marton-Lefèvre served eight years at the IUCN, the world’s largest conservation and environment membership organization of states, government agencies, NGOs, scientists, and experts. Previously, she was Rector of the University for Peace, executive director of Leadership for Environment and Development International, and executive director of the International Council for Science.

In 2015, the world’s governments adopted the ambitious Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on climate. In this talk, Marton-Lefèvre will update us on the goals and discuss the leadership necessary to achieve these goals.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items for Tempe Community Action Agency.

Refreshments will be served.
