Greening the College Football Championship

Jack Groh

  • Sustainability Consultant, College Football Playoff

Under Jack Groh’s leadership, the College Football Championship game, played at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale on January 11th, will be a zero-waste event. Groh’s coming to ASU to describe his plans for greening the championship, and he needs your help on game day! Join us for pastries and sign up to be a volunteer for the football game.

In this talk, Groh will discuss decades of lessons learned about how persistence and innovation can pay off, as well as how one person can make a difference in the world.

Groh has been a communications and environmental consultant for over 25 years and has directed the NFL’s environmental programs since 1993. Under his leadership, the Super Bowl has become recognized as the greenest professional sports championship in America.

Coffee and pastries will be served.
