Free Film Screening: Bag It

What starts as a film about plastic bags evolves into a wholesale investigation into plastic's effects on our oceans, environment, and bodies. Bag It documents the journey of Jeb Berrier, an "everyday" man who is dedicated on exploring how our crazy-for-plastic world has finally caught up to us...and what we can do about it.

Join us for a post-film discussion led by ASU Biodesign researcher Charlie Rolsky and City of Tempe Recycling Coordinator Dawn Ratcliffe, who will share their perspectives on microplastic pollution and the impact of the international recycling crisis on cities.

At this event, we will be collecting clean polystyrene foam (styrofoam), such as the protective packaging forms from your new appliances, VCRs, televisions, furniture, computers and other fragile items, to be recycled at Earth Friendly Building Materials, LLC.
