Sustainable Agricultural Pest Management: A Case Study in Argentina

Eduardo Trumper has 22 years’ experience at the National Institute for Agricultural Technology, Argentina, where he now coordinates a national pest-management project. Trained as a biologist at the National University of Cordoba, his areas of expertise include integrated pest management, insect ecology, and insect resistance to Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) crops.

In this talk, Trumper will discuss intergovernmental efforts to combat the upsurge in South American locusts, as well as theories and best practices in pest management.

A light breakfast will be served.
