This talk will focus on the benefits of citizen science and how to capitalize on opportunities present at the intersection of science and society.
Public participation in scientific research not only has the potential to gather much-needed data on a large scale, but also to advance scientific literacy, build relationships and trust between scientists and stakeholders, and grow the capacity for science-informed policy and management.
