Joe Zazzera is contagiously enthusiastic about “re-connecting people and nature.” As the founding principal of Plant Solutions Inc., he designs living walls, indoor atriums, living plantscapes and moss wall art. His mission is to create working environments built on the principles of biophilia and biomimicry; environments that enhance productivity, manage stress, and improve human wellbeing.

Sonja Bochart's approach is grounded in a philosophy that human activities are not apart from the development and evolution of living systems; rather, humans are integral to the viability and vitality of the living systems in each particular place. In addition to being a designer, Sonja is a meditation and yoga teacher, and facilitates experiences in mindfulness and the integration of local, indigenous wisdom to support wellness for the mind, body and spirit.

Biophilia means “love of life” and can refer to people’s innate connection with nature. In this talk, Zazzera and Bochart will discuss the transformative power of incorporating nature into our human-built environment.

We will be collecting non-perishable food items for Tempe Community Action Agency.

A light lunch will be served.
