On November 20, 1990, then ASU President Lattie Coor dedicated the entire ASU Tempe campus as an arboretum. The ASU Arboretum has been the focus of many theses and projects ever since. Currently, faculty, staff, and students are mapping every tree on campus and bringing new life to the Arboretum.

In this talk, key players in the Arboretum Tree Mapping project will show that, through the use of technology, they are able to map out large quantities of trees and calculate sustainability metrics (CO2 reduction, energy conservation, replacement value) to add to our ASU Campus Metabolism measurements.

Learn more about the ASU Arboretum and enjoy a lunch with locally harvested foods.
