Agents of Change:
Futures of Hope, Futures of Concern

A Planetary Management Series Symposium

Agents of Change brings together scientists and scholars to discuss ways in which thinking about human agency is central to addressing environmental and other challenges that lie ahead. Panels, posters, a keynote lecture and installations on issues as diverse as ethics, food, water, migration, labor, emotion, language, and the built environment will provide platforms of engagement while addressing the issue of human agency in shaping global futures. Contributions will focus on specific places and peoples, as well as highlight human and contextual factors that shape effective solutions to pressing challenges.

The goal of the two-day conversation is to identify new interdisciplinary approaches to questions of sustainable and equitable futures and foster cross-disciplinary collaborations across ASU.
