Help Envision Tempe's 5th Street Streetscape

The City of Tempe is collecting input to improve pedestrian, bike, and transit facilities, enhance the streetscape and traffic-calming features on 5th Street between Farmer and College avenues.

The final design will envision a buildable project that strives to enhance landscaping, increase and improve bicycle, pedestrian, and transit access, improve on-street parking availability, and preserve vehicular access. The project will also explore treatments for shade, gateways, parklets, landscape median islands with left turn pockets, back-in angled parking, and improved pedestrian areas.

City of Tempe staff will direct this event. We encourage students to attend to share visions and ideas that will help prioritize improvements.

The Farmer to College Streetscape Survey will be available through the City of Tempe website, from October 19 to November 2.

We will be collecting donations for Tempe Community Action Agency. They are in need of the following items this time of year:
Boxed stuffing
Boxed corn bread
Canned cranberry
Gravy
Canned Fruits of all varieties

Light refreshments will be provided.
