2019 Point-In-Time Homeless Street Count

Calling all volunteers. The City of Tempe is conducting a Point-In-Time Homeless Street Count, an annual community-service event taking place in Tempe, across Maricopa County, and throughout the nation. Data collected helps providers to better understand the homeless situation in their community and to apply for federal, state, and regional funding for housing and human services.

Volunteers MUST attend one Volunteer Training Session, to be assigned to a team and learn how to properly count and interview people experiencing homelessness:
Session 1: January 8 from 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
Session 2: January 9 from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

The actual count takes place on Tuesday, January 22rd from 6:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

To volunteer, RSVP below and attend either the January 8th or 9th training sessions. In addition, download the official registration form here.

For more information, contact Tempe's Homeless Solutions Coordinator: Kelly_denman@tempe.gov; (480) 858-7703.
