Database for Urban Landscape Water Use Research Evaluation

To foster more research on urban landscape water demand, a review of the research and practice literature was conducted to describe the current state of urban landscape water demand research and identify areas of need for future research. This was initiated with a survey of professionals and academics working with urban landscape water demand issues and was conducted to assess attitudes towards landscape research and its use.

Two workshops with practitioners and academic researchers were held to identify areas of gaps in this review as well as current research and develop a prioritized agenda for future research.

A database of urban landscape water demand citations was created using Google scholar searches, documents obtained from the survey, and existing water demand related literature reviews. A literature analysis was conducted on a subset of these citations.
