Biography

Michelle is a PhD Candidate in Biology and Society in the School of Life Sciences at Arizona State University. “Officially” (in her dissertation research), she studies the effects of climate, environmental, and social change on U.S. National Parks. Specifically, she combines qualitative methods and surveys based in economic theory to understand visitor and park management response to change, and she uses that information to outline management strategies and policy options for parks under alternative scenarios of change. “Unofficially,” she spends too much time exploring and writing about her other interests: American law and politics, science policy, and climate change policy.
