Biography

Lars L. Iversen is an independent research fellow at the macrosystem ecology lab at Arizona State University, working on interactions between land use and climate on species community assembly processes. He has a background in freshwater sciences and research interest in landscape level responses to global change, studied through landform types as well as ecological communities. He is trained partly as an ecologist and partly as a landscape geographer at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, from which he received his PhD degree in 2017.

At ASU, Iversen is compiling the first global assessment of climatic disequilibrium within mammal and amphibian species. Furthermore, he aims at developing guidelines for integrating concepts of ecological disequilibrium into conservation assessments and monitoring.

Research interests:
• Landscape ecology
