EPA Green Government Award Presentation: Honoring ASU’s Sustainable Cities Network
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency honored the Global Institute of Sustainability’s Sustainable Cities Network with the Pacific Southwest Region’s 2012 Green Government Award. The EPA’s Region 9 Administrator and urban sustainability expert Jared Blumenfeld presented the award to the Network’s Program Manager Anne Reichman during a ceremony at Wrigley Hall. The Network’s mission is to enhance the sustainability of Arizona, share knowledge and coordinate efforts to solve local sustainability issues, and foster training and partnerships among communities and organizations. Since the Network’s inception in 2008, city officials, tribal leaders, community members, and sustainability experts connected within over 25 jurisdictions across Arizona.
