Fourth-grader Zach Maxwell was grossly disappointed in the supposedly “gourmet” lunches served in his New York City public- school cafeteria. Zach, called the “Michael Moore of the Grade-School Lunchroom,” went undercover to film an exposé entitled: Yuck - A 4th Grader’s Short Documentary About School Lunch.

Following the 20-minute film screening, Linda Rider, a local sustainable-food champion will juxtapose the film with her efforts to improve the quality of school lunches in her Tempe schools. Rider is the director of nutritional services for the Tempe Elementary School District.
