Blue Carbon: Can Coastal Wetlands Combat Climate Change?

Lisamarie Windham-Myers

Carbon Nation Conversations, hosted by Carbon Nation™ Director/Producer Peter Byck, are climate-change solution conversations (that don't even care if you believe in climate change).

Join Peter for a conversation with Lisamarie Windham-Myers on the importance of preserving and restoring "Blue Carbon" wetlands as buffers for global adaptation to sea-level rise and mitigation for rising atmospheric CO2.

Biologist Windham-Myers researches plant physiology and its influence on carbon, nutrient, and trace-metal biogeochemistry in wetlands. Based in Menlo Park, California, she participates in local, national, and international efforts to monitor and model greenhouse gas fluxes in coastal wetlands.
